Terracotta Pottery Wheel Workshop
About this experience
Centre clay on the wheel, throw your first pot and take it home after it's fired.
Kavya's studio has twelve wheels and a long table for hand-building, so the whole team stays busy. After a short demo you'll learn to centre, open and pull up the walls of your first bowl or tumbler, with a facilitator moving between wheels to rescue wobbly pots.
It's absorbing, a little messy and surprisingly calming. We trim and fire every piece afterwards and deliver them to your office about two weeks later, so there is a second, smaller celebration when the box arrives.
